Fluororubber, FKM, VITON and FPM are short for fluororubber, which first appeared in 1948 and has a history of more than 70 years until 2020.
Advantages of fluororubber (FKM) O-rings:
1. Fluorine rubber O-ring high temperature resistance, high temperature resistance is one of the most prominent characteristics of fluorine rubber, high temperature resistant material must be the choice of fluorine rubber material.
2.Fluororubber O-rings are resistant to a variety of chemical agents, and fluororubber itself has outstanding resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, fuel oil, oil and many other organic liquids. In addition, it also has chemical corrosion resistance, flame spread resistance, oxidation resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance. Disadvantages of fluororubber (FKM) O-rings:
1.Fluorine rubber O-ring cost is high, because fluorine rubber O-ring of fluorine rubber raw material cost is much higher than nitrile rubber o-rings, so the use of fluorine rubber O-ring cost is also N times of ordinary rubber material.
2.Fluorine rubber O-ring low temperature resistance is poor, the standard fluorine rubber material itself low temperature resistance is poor, if you need low temperature resistance -40℃ it needs to develop special low temperature fluorine rubber raw materials.
