I. The O-ring has hardened

III. O-ring loses elasticity
Cause: It may be caused by a variety of factors, such as sealing medium, high temperature, excessive compression, etc., which will lead to the loss of elasticity of the seal ring.
Countermeasures: analyze the causes and select corresponding countermeasures.
IV. O-ring is cracked
Reasons: mainly due to two reasons. First, the chamfer may be insufficient or the assembly may be rough. Second, the groove does not match the O-ring.
Countermeasures: chamfer the installation position to increase the surface finish. Improve the groove size of the seal.
V. The peripheral surface of O-ring is scratched
Cause: The O-ring surface may be scratched on the thread and acute corner when installing the O-ring.
Countermeasures: When installing the O-ring, use a protective fixture to avoid scratching the O-ring surface.
6. The O-ring is worn
Cause: This phenomenon is mainly caused by the rough machining of the mating surface contacting with the O-ring.
Countermeasures: The surface roughness of the mating surface shall be processed according to the standard.
