Skeleton oil seal manufacturing quality control focuses on raw material quality, mold quality, mixing quality, metal skeleton surface treatment and adhesive coating quality, vulcanization quality, lip cutting quality, warehouse before delivery product quality control.

1. Quality of raw materials

The quality of raw materials is generally detected through physical and chemical analysis and small fit test, but in the actual production, the physical and chemical properties of raw materials (such as component content, melting point, ash, heating reduction, etc.) and the performance of small fit rubber meet the requirements but the product quality is not ideal.

To this end, in addition to physical and chemical analysis of raw materials and small fit test, the company also carries out large fit test and product trial production, and quality tracking of the whole process of trial production, to ensure that there are no production and product quality problems before putting raw materials into use.

2. Mold quality

Mold quality not only affects product geometry, dimensional accuracy and appearance quality, but also affects material molding and product demoulding. Quality detection of new mold and old mold after a certain period of use (test) is an extremely important quality control point in oil seal manufacturing process. The quality control point is equipped with vulcanization mechanical equipment and product drawings, mold drawings, adhesive performance test report and other related technical documents.

The product produced during mold trial needs to be measured in dimensions, slice projection detection and bench simulation test, and the mold with qualified product size and performance can be put into use.

In addition, in the mold test to determine the product vulcanization temperature, time, pressure, shape and quality of semi-finished products, mold installation and release operation procedures, and these parameters and procedures into the process file.

3. Compound quality

Mixing quality control point configuration operation instruction, mixing process card, mixing performance index, charge record, quality control frequency and other related technical documents.

Mixing quality testing includes process testing and performance testing. Process testing items include mixing operation procedure, feeding sequence, temperature, time, etc. Performance testing items include quality, vulcanization curve and parameters, hardness, density, dispersion, etc.

4. Metal skeleton surface treatment and adhesive coating quality

The surface treatment and adhesive coating quality of metal skeleton not only affect the bonding properties of rubber and skeleton, but also affect the vulcanization process properties. The process point is a weak link prone to problems in oil seal production. The quality control point is equipped with operation instructions, quality control indicators, charge records and other related technical documents.

The quality control point mainly controls the phosphating treatment of alkali washing, pickling, cold water washing, surface adjustment, phosphating, passivation, drying temperature and time, the total acidity of phosphating liquid, free acidity and adhesive concentration, while recording these parameters, record not less than 2 times per shift.

5. Vulcanization and lip cutting quality

Vulcanization is a process with concentrated quality problems, the process in addition to review the quality of semi-finished products from the previous process, it is more important to strictly control the vulcanization temperature, time, pressure and vulcanization machine vacuum degree and parallel degree of hot plate.

The control of cutting quality of oil seal lip is focused on cutting Angle speed, feed speed, cutting tool sharpness and the positioning of fixed oil seal gear or head.

6. Product quality before delivery

The product quality inspection before delivery is the last step of network control. For common products, it is generally sampling to test the size and appearance quality. For key products (such as engine oil seals, etc.), the size and appearance quality must be gradually tested. At the same time, 6 samples of each batch of products need to be extracted for 240h bench running test, and the batch of products can be stored and delivered after passing the test.
